Off campus drives in 2026 are the primary route to IT jobs for the majority of Indian freshers — those who don't have campus placement access, or whose campus placements fell through due to deferred joining. All four major off campus hiring cycles are active right now: Wipro Off Campus 2026, TCS NQT (April 14), Infosys InfyTQ, and Cognizant GenC. Here's exactly what each company's ATS looks for and what to do differently for each one.
The 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026 batches are all eligible across most of these drives. If you missed campus placements or are in a deferred joining situation, off campus hiring is your primary path — and the competition is real. Over 40 lakh freshers are targeting the same openings. A resume optimised for each specific ATS is not optional.
Wipro Off Campus 2026
Wipro is currently hiring for Trainee and Junior Associate Software Engineer roles across Noida, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, and Bengaluru. The 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026 batches are all eligible. Applications go through Wipro's careers portal (careers.wipro.com) and are processed through SAP SuccessFactors — their ATS.
What SAP SuccessFactors (Wipro's ATS) prioritises
- Target role keyword in your resume objective — "Software Engineer", "Trainee Engineer", "Junior Associate" should appear in the first paragraph
- Technical keywords: Java, Python, C, C++, SQL, MySQL, cloud fundamentals (AWS/Azure basics), testing concepts, REST API, Spring Boot, microservices
- Communication quality signal — SuccessFactors flags resumes with grammatically weak bullet points; Wipro's process includes a Communication Assessment and poor written English on your resume is noticed
- Soft skills phrases: "team collaboration", "client communication", "Agile methodology", "problem-solving" — Wipro JDs consistently include these
- CGPA/percentage: minimum 60% aggregate (10th, 12th, and degree) — hard filter applied before ATS parsing
Wipro-specific resume tip: Wipro's National Level Talent Hunt (NLTH) process includes a Communication Assessment round. Your resume's written quality is a preview of how you'll perform. Bullet points need to be grammatically clean and specific. "Developed REST APIs using Spring Boot and MySQL for a library management system handling 500+ records" beats "Worked on backend development" in both ATS score and recruiter impression.
TCS NQT Off Campus 2026
TCS NQT April 14, 2026 is the primary off campus route for TCS. The exam is conducted at TCS iON Authorised Centres across India. Salary bands: Ninja (₹3.36 LPA), Digital (₹7 LPA), Prime (₹9–11 LPA) — your NQT score determines the band you enter. The 2024, 2025, and 2026 batches are eligible, with minimum 60% aggregate throughout.
TCS uses iCIMS as their ATS. Resumes uploaded to TCS NextStep portal are parsed by iCIMS before any recruiter sees them. The resume you upload determines whether you're visible in recruiter search after your test score is processed.
iCIMS keyword targets for TCS NQT 2026
- Core: Java, Python, C, C++, Data Structures, Algorithms, SQL, MySQL, OOPs, DBMS, Operating Systems, Computer Networks
- High value: REST API, Spring Boot, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Git, Agile, SDLC, debugging, unit testing
- Certifications: AWS Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Oracle Certified Java Programmer, Google IT Support
- Project-level: Include technology stack names in every project description — "Spring Boot", "MVC architecture", "JDBC", "CRUD operations" are all extractable keywords
Cognizant GenC 2026
Cognizant's GenC (Programmer Analyst Trainee, ₹4 LPA), GenC Next (₹5 LPA), and GenC Pro (₹6.5–8 LPA) categories are all active through cognizant.com/careers. The hiring process for all categories includes a Communication Assessment, Aptitude Test, Technical Interview, and HR Round.
Cognizant uses a combination of ATS tools for resume parsing. Unlike TCS, Cognizant places a significantly higher weight on communication signals in resume content — not just technical keywords.
Keywords Cognizant's ATS looks for
- Technical: Core Java, Python, SQL, data structures, algorithms, OOP, SDLC, Agile, object-oriented programming
- Communication signals: clear written English in every bullet, structured project descriptions, no vague phrases
- Soft skill terms: communication skills, teamwork, problem solving, analytical thinking, leadership (if any)
- GenC Next / Pro specific: JavaScript, React.js, Node.js, REST API, or any specialisation area relevant to the track
Cognizant-specific resume tip: Cognizant places higher weight on communication signals in resumes than TCS or Wipro. Your Career Objective and Project descriptions should be written in clear, structured English — not just a dump of tech names. A bullet that says "Implemented user authentication module using Java Spring Security, reducing unauthorised access incidents to zero across a 3-member dev team" signals both technical depth and communication ability. A bullet that says "Did authentication in Java" signals neither.
Accenture Off Campus 2026
Accenture is hiring from 2024, 2025, and 2026 batches for ASE (Associate Software Engineer) and roles in Technology, Operations, and Consulting. Importantly, non-CS graduates are eligible for Operations and Trust & Safety roles — meaning this is one of the more accessible off campus drives for non-engineering backgrounds. Salary range: ₹3.5 LPA – ₹6.5 LPA depending on role and assessed skills.
Accenture uses SAP SuccessFactors (same platform as Wipro). Their ATS is configured to scan for both technical and soft-skill/consulting keywords, reflecting Accenture's broader service portfolio.
Keywords Accenture ASE ATS scans for
- Technical: Java, Python, SQL, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, REST API, Git, Agile, Scrum, software development lifecycle
- Consulting / Operations flavour: "client communication", "stakeholder management", "process improvement", "cross-functional collaboration", "business analysis"
- AI / digital: cloud computing, AI basics, digital transformation, automation — appearing in more Accenture JDs since 2025
- Breadth signals: mention technology + communication + teamwork in your objective and project descriptions
Accenture-specific resume tip: Accenture's HR round and interview loop focuses heavily on cultural fit, willingness to relocate, and breadth of skills. Your resume should reflect this. Include communication examples, team project outcomes, and a Career Objective that signals why Accenture specifically — their services span cloud, AI, consulting, and operations. A single-technology resume reads as too narrow for Accenture's profile.
Infosys InfyTQ Off Campus 2026
Infosys InfyTQ (infytq.infosys.com) has two certification levels: Foundation (→ DSE role, ₹3.6 LPA) and Master (→ SP role, ₹8 LPA). Master-certified candidates are directly contacted by Infosys without going through normal application queues. Infosys uses Taleo as their enterprise ATS.
- DSE keywords: Java, Python, SQL, data structures, algorithms, REST API, Git, Agile, SDLC, communication skills
- SP (higher package) keywords: Advanced DSA, system design, competitive programming (LeetCode/HackerRank), Python/Java advanced, software engineering fundamentals
- Taleo-specific: Avoid tables, multi-column layouts, and graphics — Taleo has one of the stricter parsers in use and these consistently cause content loss
The One Thing All Four Off Campus ATS Systems Reject
Across all four companies — TCS (iCIMS), Infosys (Taleo), Wipro (SuccessFactors), Accenture (SuccessFactors), Cognizant — the following resume elements cause consistent ATS failure:
- Multi-column layouts — text gets scrambled when read left-to-right across both columns simultaneously
- Canva PDF exports — design PDFs don't parse reliably; text sits in graphic layers invisible to ATS parsers
- Skill bars and rating graphics — filled circles and progress bars showing "Java: 80%" produce zero keyword extraction
- Vague project descriptions with no tech stack keywords — "built a web project using Java" gives one keyword; proper descriptions give 6–10
- CGPA below 60% aggregate — all four companies enforce this as a hard filter before ATS scoring
- Single-column tables for skills — table content is silently skipped or scrambled by Taleo and SuccessFactors
A Wipro-optimised resume won't automatically work for Cognizant. A TCS NQT resume template won't match an Accenture ASE job description. Each company's ATS is configured against its own JD vocabulary. Before applying to any off campus drive, run your resume through a free ATS checker with that company's specific job description pasted in. Your keyword gap will be different for each one.
